Sealants

Vision Control^®’s primary seal is made of polyisobutylene, which provides high resistance against UV rays. The secondary seal is made of high quality polysulfide that acts as an effective moisture and vapor barrier. This sealant requires protection from UV rays (5/8" bite at the perimeter of the glass).

The contact of both sealants creates perfect adhesion and provides a tight hermetic seal, making the unit resistant to the effects of solvents and oils, and infiltration of any substance, a feature that greatly improves indoor air quality.

Silicone is also available upon request, or when polycarbonates and glass-clad polycarbonates are required in lieu of glass.
