Specialty Glazing Vision Control®
Vision Control® glass panels are made with interlocking blades, offering utmost privacy and light control when closed. The unique hollow-chambered louvers provide maximum strength to the spacer and maintain the parallel alignment of the blades.
The rack is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum. All pivots, pinions, and racks are made of UV stabilized material to ensure stability, durability, and never needing lubrication.
Louvers may be installed either horizontally or vertically. Made of rigid, extruded aluminum, the louvers are available in three profile types:
- 1 3/8” x 1/4” (35 mm x 6mm) thick to a maximum glass width of 48” (1219mm)
- 1 3/8” x 3/8” (35 mm x 10mm) thick to a maximum glass width of 58” (1473mm)
- 1 3/8” x 1/2” (35 mm x 13mm) thick to a maximum glass width of 68” (1727mm)
The above limits may be doubled if a vertical intermediate mullion is inserted inside the glass panel, separating the louvers into 2 sets of independently operated blades within 1 single glass unit. Two separate operators will be needed to control each half side. These units are referred to as double Vision Control® units.
An example of this can be seen on the first picture on the right panel shown here.
The louvers are also available fixed at any predetermined angle to suit the project-specific needs. The use of sun diagrams may help to determine optimal louver positioning according to the project location.
